Welcome to the SC Works Catawba Workforce System. Our mission is to create, modify, and sustain a local system of cooperation and collaboration among all workforce development entities to ensure that the employment-related needs of employers, job seekers and incumbent workers are met.

The SC Works Catawba Workforce System website will help one to easily find resources needed to work and do business in the Catawba Region. The workforce system enables businesses and workers to compete in the 21st century's worldwide, knowledge-based economy. The Catawba Workforce Systems' goal is to enhance employer competitiveness and innovation, to prepare the region's workforce for careers in higher-wage jobs, and, to effectively improve the quality of life for our most valuable resource - our citizens.

  • Business Service Centers for employers
  • OJT Training funds available for employers
  • On-the-Job Training for unemployed, underemployed adults and dislocated workers
  • Incumbent Worker Training Grants for employers (if grant funds are available)
  • Career guidance and job placement assistance for job seekers
  • Workshops on resume writing, interviewing techniques, and many other topics
  • Occupational skills training
  • Labor Market Information for employers, economic development, and others
  • and many other services
